The resort will take you out for snorkeling days as well as island tours of some of the local smaller islands untouched by tourism. You can visit a true Fijian village and meet the chief and buy some artisan handicrafts to support them. You are taken on a walking tour of the village to see the school, church and houses. The children are so cute and friendly. The crafts they make are beautiful and it is a great way to support the locals. They sell a lot of wood products like salt and pepper holders. Upon arriving at one of the islands you must pay the local chief a couple bucks a person USD and sit with him to engage in a formal tribe greeting ceremony. He makes kava water for you to drink and you all must take a sip of the water. This is something to be ware of. Kyle drank some of this and got Giardia that ended with him vomiting for 8 hours on the plane and his system recovering in about a week.
