Porcupine Cafe

This cozy sunroom is a wooden box of sunbeams in the morning, creating a quiet and peaceful place to start your day. It has a folksy vibe, great art, and a solid acoustic playlist. There is sometimes a hedgy (hedgehog) running around which is another delight. The coffee is quality and they also have an iced tea with frozen fruit ice cubes. It was super refreshing.

Step into a glass greenhouse and enter a restful sanctuary in the heart of Ari neighborhood in Bangkok. The greenery, black, and neutrals aesthetic is on point. They even have an old school fridge and magazines to give it a slightly vintage feel. This place is some of the highest quality coffee we’ve had in Thailand. Seriously, it rivals the best coffee I’ve had in Seattle, LA, Italy, and Copenhagen. There is also outdoor courtyard tables and seating under trees lit up by string lights. They are definitely one of the top 3 shops in Ari, boasting artisan drinks and high-quality coffee equipment.

Oh Vacado! Cafe

Right on the corner of the street, sits the cute land of everything avocado found in this amazing cafe/coffee shop. The small orange building on the corner with oval windows is filled with modern decor, art, and a creativity. They sell smoothies, coffee, avocado toast, and all kinds of other avocado products. Also, I pretty sure they don’t sell anything without avocado.

Coffee Roasting Division of Pladib

This place is a quality roaster in Ari which has the best coffee. They serve great beans from Chiang Mai mostly as well as Laos. They sell lots of coffee from Chiang Mai. This place also makes and sells artisan wood crafts like stools and cutting boards/charcuterie boards that are beautiful walnut wood. They sell local honey, hot sauce, and other organic local goods. The coffee shop is filled with concrete, wood and black steel with an industrial vibe. The outdoors offers a huge seating area in a plant jungle of wood and metal tables and chairs. This is definitely one of the top 3 coffee roasteries and shops in Ari, Bangkok.

White Rabbit Cafe

Stepping onto the black and white checkered old school floor, you will find yourself in a lowkey spot. It’s super down to earth. They’ve got a fun Alice in Wonderland vibe. In addition to drinks and food, they’ve got a great selection of fun Thai/English books. WE spent the morning reading a book filled with quotes from Taxi drives and coloring. Yes, they have coloring sheets for adults and children. It’s a great place filled with good sunlight to chill, talk, or work.

Tham Ma Da

This tiny hole in the wall coffee shop nook is adorable. This place is run by the most sweet Thai moms who have grown up in this neighborhood. The place is delightful and feels like a cozy living room in a well decorated home. There is a lot of wood and neutral tones. They also have a little souvenir shop of craft local artisan items. They are more of a tiny cafe than a shop. They have both limited indoor and outdoor seating.
