Be a Foodie at the Best Restaurants in Ari, Bangkok

Be a Foodie at the Best Restaurants in Ari, Bangkok

Ari is a low-key neighborhood in Bangkok with some awesome food. It isn’t as busy a Thonglor, but it’s restaurants can go toe to toe with the best Bangkok has to offer. If you are looking for a quieter more walkable part of the city near amazing restaurants, then Ari is the place to be.

If you are looking for a place to stay, we highly recommend the Yard Hostel or Rest Hostel Ari. Both offer private or dorm rooms. They are super well designed and very clean. Really they are more like boutique hotels than hostels. If you are a traveler looking for community, then check out the Yard and if you are looking for a quieter more private experience then check out Rest Hostel. For more information on both these, check out our full article on hostels in Ari. Also, if you are looking to make a day of Ari, then don’t miss out on the best coffee shops.

The Best Restaurants in Ari

This place is tiny corner store boasting Tex-Mex, and it doesn’t disappoint. While the store may be small and unassuming, the food is amazing. We came here twice because it was so good. The burritos are delicious, and they give you this tasty Thai-Mexican salsa that was really unique. They also have really good honey lemonade and margaheritas. This is the best Mexican food we’ve had in Bangkok. We will come back again and again for the burritos and pico de gallo.

Hours: 11:30 am-12:00am daily

The Tacos Factory

The Tacos Factory is a close second to Wraptor. They serve slightly more traditional Mexican food without the Tex-Mex flare. You can find it in a small shared collective of restaurants. There is a shared courtyard seating under strung lights in a restaurant complex called Ari-one. This place is painted with bright colored walls with cacti and sombreros. The atmosphere is bright and fun.

Hours: 12pm-9pm daily, CLOSED SUNDAYS

Paper Butter

This is the top rated burger place in Bangkok city. It has a huge reputation and has great food. You can find it in Ari-1, the shared collective of restaurants, off of a sleepy street in Ari. It’s right next to Taco Factory. The courtyard area has seating with umbrellas, tables, and lights, with a fun vibe at night. There is also a good amount of indoor air-conditioned seating. This is not a lunch place and is only open for dinner. There is a second location currently being built at the Yard Hostel

Hours: 12pm-9pm daily, CLOSED SUNDAYS

The Feelings Bar

This is the coolest neon night bar with the best vibes and music. There is live music nightly that starts around 8:30 pm. The whole atmosphere of the place is chill and has lots of good seating. The staff are super friendly and the main bartender is a skilled mixologist. Their Thai version of a Whiskey Sour was sooo good. The chicken wings and their fries with cream cheese and chili sauce are both delicious. Best bar in Ari hands down!

Hours: Tues-Sat 6pm-1am, closed Sundays and Mondays

Jim’s Burgers and Beers Aree

Best restaurants in Ari Bangkok

This is a small local beer and burger den. Their burger with an onion ring and fresh cheese, which literally gets poured on the burger is delicious. They have quite a few imported beers on tap and have beer pharaphonalia from all over the place which is fun.

Hours: 5pm-12am daily

Fat Bird

This place may look like a tiny odd cafe during the day as you walk past but by night it turns into a deep open vintage decorated cozy den for dinner and cocktails. This place is an artistic ecclectic environment with great atmosphere.

Hours: 5:30pm-12:00am daily, closed mondays

Salt

This is an asian fusion restaurant that is fine dining. They have a wine and a cocktail bar. They serve as Japanese sushi and sashimi, as well as wood-fired pizza along with other classic asian dishes.

Hours: 5pm-12am daily

Joha

This is a nice Korean restaurant in the neighborhood. Their prices are reasonable and they are high rated. The food is authentic and the staff are friendly. This place is always busy.

Hours: 11:30am-9pm daily

Website: joha.com

Hidden Cafe

This cafe may look quaint and casual on the outside, but it has a very nice interior. The food is quality, but the prices are higher than a lot of other places.

Hours: 10am-10:30 pm daily
