Siem Reap is a bustling modern city that is becoming a hub for expats and is welcoming in a plethora of cute coffee shops, modern cafes, and delicious restaurants. The city has a thriving health culture with vegan and vegetarian options focusing on real and organic local produce and foods. You have a great selection of local craft coffee, beer, kombucha, and international foods from all over the world. There are almost too many places to choose from. After exploring the city, we’ve compiled a list of some of the best restaurants in Siem Reap.
Best Restaurants in Siem Reap
Artillery Cafe is a plant-based, lifestyle-focused menu that has vegetarian, vegan, and raw food. They also have several meat options on the menu for the carnivores like us. Their dishes are nutrient-dense ‘superfoods’ and are made with organic, local ingredients. We are not vegetarian or vegan, but we loved this cafe and ate here several times on our trip.
My favorite was their avocado chicken wrap as well as their Mexican mango bowl, which was grilled chicken breast with corn, roasted veggies, avocado, black bean salsa and brown rice with fresh mango and tahini dressing. They have amazing homemade hummus plates and their herb chicken sandwich is amazing as well. They also have a local Kombucha brand called Fermented Kitchen and their mint flavor is my favorite.
Hours: 7:30am-9pm daily
Elia Greek Kitchen
Elia Greek Kitchen is the cutest, charming, Greek restaurant in a quiet spot across the river on a less busy part of Pub Street. If you are looking for Greek food, then this is one of the best restaurants in Siem Reap to visit. This restaurant is an oasis that transports you to Europe in Southeast Asia with the best souvlaki (gyros) and sangria around. The decor is exposed brick and white reminiscent of the houses in Greece. The decor is awesome, surrounding you with hanging lanterns and quotes from Greek philosophers. They have a huge hangout lounge upstairs as well. This quickly became one of our favorite spots in Siem Reap.
Hours: 10am-11pm daily
Maybe Later Mexican
This is a Mexican bar and grill across the river from the wooden water mill outside of the loud and crowded Pub Street. If you are looking for Mexican food, then this is one of the best restaurants in Siem Reap to check out.
It’s run by a California expat who married a local and started a place for young people Cambodians to do street art and express themselves. They are partnered in the community to help stop the use of drugs in the city and create a safe place for the local youth to work and have a future. Their burrito was traditional and so, so good. This place is busy and you have to come early to grab a table for dinner. They have plenty of space with a whole different upstairs seating lounge as well. Definitely one of the best restaurants in Siem Reap
Hours: 11am-10pm daily
This is a beautiful vegan coffee shop and restaurant in the city. This was the first 100% plant-based vegan restaurant in Siem Reap. They have craft coffee, kombucha, yogurt, peanut butter, cheesecake, and so many delicious dishes that are all superfoods. They also sell homemade ceramics that are modern and made by local artisans.
Don’t miss the large upstairs lounge decorated with wall murals and an overall bohemian aesthetic. They sell their own cookbook, bamboo straws, and other eco products. Some of their top sellers are their Buddha and Acai bowls that are around $5-$7 a bowl with lots of fruit and superfoods, or veggies, rice, and their own homemade cashew mayo. They have burgers, tacos, and sandwiches as well as fresh juices. They are known for their amazing desserts as well such as passionfruit cheesecake which is made with fresh fruit, vanilla bean, raw honey, coconut oil, and lemon with an almond base.
Hours: 7:30-9pm daily
This is a local Cambodian food restaurant that is modern and has beautiful tiles, copper hanging lights, and pops of bright color. The restaurant sells higher end local dishes and beer, with a great lunch special including an entree, beer, and ice cream for $7. The meals are huge and delicious. We had the Kabob plate and a beef burger that were delicious. Their homemade ice cream was some of the best I have had and tasted like cake batter even though it was vanilla. It was so creamy. They have a bar as well that serves creative cocktails.
Mrs. Wong’s Cocktail Bar
Mrs. Wong’s is a Shanghai style cocktail bar sitting in one of the back alleys of Pub Street that is a hip local meet up for the expats who live in Siem Reap. This is one of the most popular bars in Siem Reap and you have to arrive early to save a table. Mrs. Wong’s is a more private Speakasy feel unlike most of the other bars on the stretch. There are homemade Chinese dishes such as hot pot and dim sum as well as creative cocktails with artistic touches.
Hours: 6pm-1am daily
Siem Reap Brewpub
This is a great spot for craft beer lovers and is a rare find in SE Asia. A tasting flight is $3USD, and they sell local dishes and appetizers. We had the sausage and enjoyed the spicy dipping sauce. They have a beautiful outdoor patio area with darts and a pond, making it a great place to enjoy the afternoon and evening.
Hours: 10am-12am daily
One Eleven Gallery
One Eleven is a beautiful contemporary art gallery that has an international collection of work alongside guest exhibitions by a rotation of visiting international artists. It is centrally located by the river between Old Market and Wat Damnak Village, the gallery also hosts a variety of events, including artist talks and live art and music performances. There is a bar and a cozy patio area where you can enjoy signature cocktails. This is a unique venue and experience in the city with amazing art to take in as you have a drink.
Hours: 10am-10pm daily, closed Sundays
This was our favorite coffee shop and bakery in town and it was such a unique and artistic space from the entrance to every detail inside of their shop. You enter under a bamboo teepee of hanging coffee cups to a brick and cement modern building with ceiling to floor windows and vaulted ceilings facing the river and city temple hence temple coffee. There is exposed brick walls, old motorbikes, and other vintage decor accessories along with wood, and low set tables that are comfy couch like spaces where you take off your shoes to enter your own padded low seated cubicle. This place has the best coffee, meals, and snacks and you can sit for hours to work or just hang out or escape the rain as we did. This place also has a rooftop sky lounge that also doubles as a bar at night that is open until midnight with amazing views of the city along the Siem Reap River. This is definitely one of the best restaurants in Siem Reap.

Price: $$, an espresso was $4USD

This coffee shop has modern and eccentric decor with a bicycle hanging on the wall. They make great smoothies and offer vegan and vegetarian options with lots of healthy choices. This is a great trendy health food place that is a nice break from SE Asia food if you have been traveling a long time.

This shop is a brand new farm to table fruit and produce wholesale store whose opening was the weekend we were in Siem Reap. They had the cutest plant filled jungle shop with lots of quality goods to buy that were local and organic. This is a part of the health food movement in the city and provides a great option to cook some local homemade food. See their site here.
Hours: 7:30am-6pm daily
Menaka Lounge & Cafe
This is a coffee shop by day, and cafe serving food and hip cocktails by night. It is a really warm cozy cocktail lounge that is better known for its cocktails and being a bar than a cafe. The reviews for the bar say they make quality drinks, and it is a quieter classy speakeasy feel than the wild backpacker bars of Pub Street.
Hours: 6pm-1am daily
This is a local coffee place that is not as western, making it a more authentic Cambodian coffee shop. They serve local authentic dishes as well as breakfast. It is a quiet coffee shop which makes it a great place to work in a modern decorated aesthetic with wood and concrete. There are lots of local rice dishes, curries, and spicy pork.

Mamma Shop Restaurant
This is an Italian restaurant that is bohemian themed with a gorgeous, artistic ceiling. It is a little more upscale restaurant for the area with western food. Street 26, Between the River and Wat Bo Road Opposite the Peace Cafe, Siem Reap, Cambodia #都市遊魂 #柬埔寨 #暹粒 #旅遊 #旅游 #遊記 #假期 #觀光 #自由行 #风景 #美景 #景點 #旅遊景點 #背包客 #自助旅行 #旅遊日記 #旅游日记 #hongkonger #hkiger #hkigers #旅攝 #食好西 #吃貨 #食記 #jungleburgersiemreap #hkfoodie #吃貨人生 #美食推薦 #吃貨日記 #好味
